Hi all,
Some of myfavorite authors are, danielle steele, stephen king, dean koontz, phyllis a whitney, victoria holt, also known as philippa carr, taylorcaldwell, and dorothy eden, unfortunately the last 2 are dead, and madeline brent. I love gothics, but sadly, gothics have died totally out, and are just being blended in as mysteries. I think its sad, because gothics were unique, and there were always cliff hangers at the end of every chapter.

pointless
Were you wondering about other people's reading interests when it comes to books and authors, or is this merely informational?
ok, haven't been here in a long time and just found this topic. I was just posting and wondering how many feel the same way, and to the person who thinks this post is pointless, you don't have to read it, and I promise not to tell you how pointless your posts may be if you hould happen to make such a post
I mean, this is the place to talk about books in general right? so, at least it's on topic.

My particular post is pointless, but I can't let this book go unnoticed.
Fatal Burn, by Lisa Jackson
it's mystery/romance and keeps you wondering the entire way through.
a 13 year old girl is abducted while searching for her birth mother, a series of fires in southern california lead the reader down a maze of mysteries and deceptions, it's really great.
lol, and that's my contribution.

haunted reverie, don't worry about your post being pointless, we're talking about books gothic or no, but we are staying on topic accordingto what the board is about. some folks on here are just grouches, and think any post that doesn't involve them or interest them is pointless. anyway, that sounds like it might be a good book. I might have to see if my library for the blind has it sometime. right now, I still have about 225 books on my request list, and am trying to get the request list down a bit so I can send more and get it back up with new ones. I may be getting book share as a christmas present this year. we'll have to wait and see. human read books is better, but they have over 32000 books over there, and i could download what i wanted right away. nls will still be a part of my life, but there are still a lot of books nls doesn't record, and probablynever will. I was browsing through their mystery and horror categories, and found some I bet nls doesn't have.
